14 years in and solid. Dark fruits mixed with sour cherry notes. Hints of balsam and fennel. Firm tannins, oak, coffee, leather, and limestone notes on the back end. Perfect with charcoal grilled rib eye. I believe this will continue to improve, am glad I have a couple more bottles.

Drinking nicely, elegant, great food wine. Nose is subdued, might benefit from a decant. Lots of red fruit, leather, cigar. Fine tannins, nice acidity. Should continue to drink well for another decade.

Tasting: The wine of the tasting according to the group, but my number 2. Very good. Fuller than the non-riservas.

Wish I had formal notes but brought this to a holiday dinner party. Decanted for 90 min. Still a baby but beautiful nonetheless Leather, cherries, with the tannins beginning to integrate Very long life ahead of this. Wait 5+ years before next bottle.

Tobacco, morello cherry, dark chocolate, spiced plum. Medium weighted, with savoury intensity and a fine slurry of tannins. Opens up well with a decant.

Still very backwards but shows lots of potential. Finally opened up after four hours of air. Very vegetal flavours which was a bit surprising but after The wall of tannins came down it was cooperated with some exotic spices. Could have mistaken this for a hermitage. Very nice but not quite up to the critical opinions

Popped, breathed in bottle in cellar 4 hours, poured and consumed over next two hours. Even after breathing in the cellar, this needed more air and swirling to open up. When it did, it put on weight and intensity, added notes of Cigar Box and poblano pepper. Still tastes very young. Has the stuffing to age a long time.

This one gets better as it gets older. 9 years in and super smooth after sitting open about 10 minutes.

Pure and authentic Brunello from the great 2010 vintage. Le Chiuse is located just outside the city of Montalcino, the vineyard was once a part of the legendary Biondi Santi. Clean fruit, mixed dark and bright expressions. Early maturity notes. Rich but transparent and elegant mouthfeel. Will improve with more cellartime.

We opened and poured through a Vintorio, fruit on the nose, the palate was dark cherry, plum, leather and a touch of spice. A really nice finish made this a really enjoyable bottle of wine.

Dark clear cherry violet colour. The nose is wonderful with red and dark cherries, dark chocolate, rose and touches of thyme and lavender. The palate is well balanced with medium weight yet juicy fruit followed by touches of herb and charcoal. Excellent mouthfeel and finish complete another delicious Brunello !

Big bold stood up to the richness of bucotini w shaved white truffle and cracked black pepper. Dark red fruit, plenty of tannins to support further development. Much greater depth than the disobedient. Lengthy finish. All gone.

Subdued red and blue fruits. The palate is medium bodied, high toned, with mildly puckering, tea-like tannins. It seemed a little underwhelming. Recorked till the next day, when it was more open. Dry autumnal leaves, blue fruits, nice palate intensity, savoury feel.

An exceptionally well balanced wine showing very well at this time. Typical Brunello on the nose, with lots of red fruits. Surprisingly little tannin which I expected more of at this age. Long finish.
