A darker fruits style of Rioja, this has black cherries and black plums and other fully ripe notes, but it never slides too far into overripe territory. Perhaps surprisingly, this Crianza is still evolving, and its wood and herb notes are still finding their place within the fruit. Give this a year in the cellar and then drink for the next several years.

Nice representation of Rioja. Complex dark fruits at the start. Opens and smooths after an hour or so.

Appearance: medium intensity , garnet color with wide rim. Nose: seems developed of pronounced intensity with typical Rioja-like aromas: mineral, stone and dried fruits. Palate: balanced, full body, medium tanins, medium alcohol, but maybe slightly short. This is complex wine, nicely developing with time after opening. recommended.

Pop and pour, deep magenta color. Classic, enjoyable tempranillo with deep cherry flavors combined with the nice rustic, leathery secondary characteristics typical of Rioja. Finish is medium length and somewhat bitter. Tannins are virtually non-existant, although the wine did soften up after about an hour.

Dark purple. Ready to drink. Fruity with hints of blackberry and raspberry. Not a ton of tannins. Ready to drink now.

Deep color. Really mellow. Decanted for an hour and really opened up. Great bottle of wine.

Deep purple. Intense nose, got better as it opened up - 45 mins. Went from less (like licorice, maybe tobacco) to more sweet aromas (maybe coconut?) great flavors - deep dry cherry. Nice, long finish. Nice effort. Will get better with 2 more years.

Really like this - deep colour - definitive cherry, blackberry taste - seems a very good example of the style

Black cherry, good structure, very solid, well balanced, beautifully made Rioja. Drink now, or cellar for 2-4 years.

Ripe fruit and oak. it is pointless to make wines like these...I don't get it.

Opened this nice offering from Rioja on a Thursday night at home. It was a bit tight and unforgiving at first but with some time and air it unfolded very nicely. It showed a bit of raisin on the palate and became smoother and smotther as time went on. Good structure and balance.
