we attended the Winemaker's Co-Op Spring portfolio tasting-Fete de vin at which this wine was released. the co-op considers 2019 to be the vintage of the decade due, in part, to no rainfall during the last three weeks before harvest. the working dog proprietor/winemaker indicated that his winery contributed the merlot grapes to the project which were produced from grafted vines sourced from chateau petrus. commercially sourced yeast was added to help inoculate fermentation. we tasted the wine during the …
