Lovely aromatic and still relatively youthful nose though, with pure strawberry and red cherry fruit, touch of acetone, spice, earth and iron emerging with time in glass. The palate delivers but this wine is starting to lose the JMF signature and show signs of MSD terroir and some autumnal decay . The Great Red Burgundy Con; 1/1/2015-3/21/2026 : From 75cl, perfect cork, opened but not decanted one hour. Exquisite strawberry/beef consommée/gently herbal/morello scent; surprisingly big-bodied entry with perfectly sweet fruit core, nice dark complexity (licquorice?); super-ripe acidic gain on the thrilling mid-palate; just a hint of tannins to keep things structured on the long, tingling finish. Much more nuanced than the previous bottle, with an airy mix of deep cherry fruit, stems, orange peel, and a touch of wood. A refreshing mineral and slightly bitter finish. Gained weight on the second evening, but lost some appeal. Very nice.

Somewhat monotone and awkward the first evening. And of course, the last bit saved in the fridge overnight was the best - much more generous, relaxed, and expressive. Lovely but not especially complex. I'll decant the next one or give it more time.

Singing right now. Powerful and serious. Notes of damp undergrowth and some raspberry. Later some baked earth or perhaps spice and sweatiness. Almost like a top aged southern Rhone?! Terrifically persistent in the palate with a long finish and an enjoyable grainy quality to the texture. All very enjoyable, but is it Burgundy? Hard to call.

This is soft, understated and pretty. Nice Morey cooler fruit profile, with some basil and florals, with some mossy loamy undertones. On the palate it is soft, supple, understated, and not that complicated: I suspect it is the vintage. It does have excellent balance and a sense of harmony. 1/12, good cork. Pale/medium ruby core, pale garnet rim. Lovely pure strawberry and red cherry fruit bursts from the glass, intense, youthful, pure. Medium bodied, pure strawberry fruit, creamy edge, really fine, even silky, tannins, good depth with fresh/vibrant acids carrying an impressive long, harmonious finish. This is exceptional - even better than usual - with no rough edges at all. Outstanding.

PnP at the Earle. Beautiful from first sip, and tasting well above its village level. Light and fresh and wonderfully balanced. Crushed strawberries, earth, and spice. Truly a pleasure to drink.

Typical Fourrier wine, lovely red fruit, tintellating, mineral, caramel tones. Left this overnight in the fridge. Next day wine was so much better: intoxicating nose, more depth in taste, great length. Unbelievably complex for village MSD. In conclusion, this wine still has lots of potential / needs serious decanting when drunk now.
