Fragrant nose of floral, blue and red fruits, light pepper. Elegant smooth mouthfeel with plum, blackberries, cherries, tobacco. Medium soft tannins with medium acid and long finish. Slow ox 3 hours. Nice value Pomerol in a good drinking window now.

Un beau classique. Suave et souple. Beau fruit croquant. Cerises, prunes et chocolat avec un peu de thym. Les tannins sont fins et la finale bien longue est sur le menthol. Tres bon!

Quick decant (well settled sediment). Bright garnet, some smoke but initially closed - opened with time, no initial 'wow' fragrance. Despite being 15 years old, I think this is still youmg and has plenty of life to it. That said, it was a great match with tomator and chorizo!

Slo-ox'd for 3 hours and drank for the next two. Looks like a younger wine. Wonderful combination of fresh fruit and tertiary character. Solid all the way through, from nose to finish. Hard to believe that this is 20 years old, based on color, fruit, and freshness. But, its age shows in how silky and elegant it is. While this wine can probably age for another 10 years, I plan to drink my remaining two bottles in the next 2-3 …

Decanted 7.5 hours prior to pairing with grilled boneless ribeye steaks. A nearly opaque ruby in the glass, the nose beckons with cherry, blueberry, forest floor, and a distinct spiciness. These notes carry over the palate and are joined by sticky, powdery tannins. Long finish. Half glass left out overnight, now shows clearer cherry, blue fruits, forest floor and still present powdery tannins. 3rd of 12 and this seems a bit too young, though maybe just now coming out of …

En Primeur campaign for the 2024 vintage Day Four (Bordeaux) : From Magnum. Brambles, plum, earth, sweet spice, leathery; arguably forward but nice nose. In the mouth it's juicy, fleshy with savoury plummy fruit, leathery tannins, balanced. Simple but yum

Très grand vin. Encore bien droit. Il a evolué continuellement sur la période de consommation, sur le fruit, le bois noble, la crème fraîche, épices douces, etc. La bouche demeure bien droite, tanins très fins, superbe longueur, long.

Beautiful nose of black plums, rose petal, raspberry, strawberry, dark chocolate, fresh leather, sweet cedar, dried mint, black olive, and cinnamon. Palate is dense and medium plus bodied, with grippy tannins and medium plus acidity. The fruit is restrained still rich with cassis, raspberry and fresh tobacco. A really long and peppery finish. It’s a beautiful wine. Still has plenty of life in it and a few years might help soften the tannins and add some tertiary notes.

Slow oxed for 6 hours and then into my glass. The cork was just barely saturated. Extremely dark with little or no bricking. Nose is screaming lead pencil and charcoal. Those notes are prevalent in the mouth but they are joined by a lovely basket of dark fruits. At 19+ years this is a great spot and I think will last many more years. What a treat tonight. Glad to have another couple.

Opened the bottle and slow oxed for 7 hours. No decant but when it was first poured, the nose was as an amazing bunch of dark fruits dominated by ripe cherries, a wiff of Smokey tar, brown sugar and some red licorice. The cork was pristine and not even stained. The mouthfeel mimicked the nose with a heavy dose of fresh dark ripe sweet cherries. A bit of cigar box. The tannins and acids are soft but in balance and …

Flowers, chocolate, truffles, and cherries come together in the bouquet. Medium-bodied, vibrant, supple and fresh, there is a lot of lift with energy in th, juicy, red and black plummy finish. The wine blends 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2024-2038.

Sehr gelungen. 2025-2040 (Verkostet im November 2023 in Zürich bei UGCB)

Opened in the cellar at 56 degrees, the initial nose was very tobacco-laced. As it warmed up the tobacco receded and was replace by dark plums, ripe blueberries, touch of herbs, forest floor and slate. Quite structured and seemingly holding back a lot in reserve. This probably never got above 68 degrees, and never approached my definition of jammy or plush. First of 16, and shall decant the next one for several hours and bring up to 72-74 degrees.

2nd bottle of 12. Purchased in 2016 and properly cellared since that date. 1st bottle tasted back in September 2019 and honestly, that bottle was not drinkable. Then, it was purple, full of harsh tannins, exhibiting a big thick lick of oak, and showing alcohol heat. So, how is it after 3 years and 7 months? Decanted for 2 hours, served at 19C. 15%. Based on previous experience, I thought about putting it through an aerator, but didn't, because of …

This continues to be a solid wine, at the end of its elegant stage and now heading into stage 3 of development. This is not to be missed at this stage because the next stage will need at least 7 years to be developed. Right now you get that signature clay, and earth, with nuances of meat developing underneath it all. Drink

Dark ruby color with few blue-purplish hues of merlot. Nose is fleshy, almost California. I get a lot of sweet dark fruits and white pepper. Really nice palate. Rich body offset the fine-grained tannins suggesting merlot. Finish is warm red fruit. A lovely wine that’s perfect now and for the next few years— but it seems a little more New World than Pomerol. As I poured the last glass, I noticed a touch of sediment and a stain on the …

I thought this wine a bit immature despite a 2014 vintage date. The color was dark red -- inky. There was minimal bouquet. The tannins were very prominent and they created unbalance between fruit and tannin. Perhaps in a few years I will think better of it.

Popped and poured to accompany grilled NY Strip steaks. An opaque purple in the glass extending out to slightly tawny edges. The opulent nose beckons with ripe plum and blueberry, sweet pipe tobacco, incense, and Kahlua-laced Christmas cake. Some garrigue upon opening which blew off after one hour. Luscious and nearly viscous on the palate, with very good concentration and intensity. This also had a beguiling oxidized edge to it, which I personally enjoy a great deal. Was a perfect …

Three years ago, almost to the day, I rated this 89 and was on the verge of sending it to auction. I'm now glad that I didn't as this has improved substantially. Decanted for 5 hours before pouring back into cleaned bottle for serving with beef dinner. Classic Bordeaux with ripe dark berries, cassis, tobacco, leather and musty earth. The time in bottle (and decanter) has helped the tannins to mellow and the fruit to show front and center. Really …
