Tenuta Santa Maria Merlot Decima Aurea Veneto IGT

Leaner than expected - red and black plum fruit with some cherry notes on the finish - not overly tannic but very juicy with lots of red cherry and plum acidity. Finish was good, but the mouthfeel was a little lacking from this "supertuscan". Maybe needed some more air - if so, will update the note tomorrow and upgrade. For now, a decent 88, but was expecting more.
