Château Roland La Garde Tradition

Developed Bdx aromas with blackcurrant, leather and horse stable. Light weighted, but well balanced and quite intense. A little rustique.

Bu en succ. Terreux et sur les fruits noirs, un peu de graphite et de cèdre avec des tanins asséchants et une finale courte.

Flint, ripe cherry, medium body and bright medium acidity that comes in quick. Not a ton of structure, but the clarity here is nice.

Ruby red. Earthy aromas with blackcurrant, liquorice, oak, minerals and some alcohol. Fruity, meaty, and soft on the palate. Good balance and intensity.

Russk Stacole Tasting. Earthy. 91-

Dark but clear ruby in the glass. On the nose bright cherry jolly rancher predominates with violate and earth. On the palate we found steely dark cherry with mushroom. Subtle tannins with a strong acidity. Mineral finish with a funky note at the very end. “It’s like drinking flowers,” one of us said. Delicious!

Didn't expect chambers street to sell me a gamay full of vanilla oak. Don't like it.
