Root Day - fill to just below capsule. Cork sound with virtually no ingress. Decanted off a fair bit of fine sediment (about a teaspoon). This is a pop and pour tasting note as I did a double decant back into the bottle for service. Just barely opaque garnet core with a bit of browning showing which extends right out to the thin watery rim. Thick legs suggesting a higher alcohol content (14% stated). On the nose it’s mature with …

Fruit day - decanted for sediment only. Still full garnet on the rim and core - little sediment and cork barely saturated (cork still very flexible). Aromas of milk chocolate, plum, herb, and just a touch of cassis. On the palate, it’s soft and silky with the ripe tannins fully resolved. Dry with clean flavours of plum, dark chocolate, mint (?) and some sage-like herbal elements. Mint and dark chocolate finish with some savoury herb (bay/rosemary/oregano). Ready to go but …

Strange enough, besides less tannic, also less new-world compare to last year. Less vanilla and chocolate than last time. Fruity on nose, taste raspberry, slightly earthy, olive?? Good strength on mid palate and long on finish. Still very dry on mouth. Good evolution. Price dropped 5 dollars than my purchase price ..... WTF ?

My second bottle. Much more impressed this time. Beautiful cab with very obvious black currant (juice) on the palate.

My 1st Posting on CellarTracker. Aroma: Like Strawberry. Taste: Good strength of vanilla and chocolate, some spices. The after taste is sufficient too. Good Harmony Overall. Quite tannic but improved over the dinner, paid a dear lesson for opening it early. Despite warnings from research. Not the best from a QPR point, but a solid textbook Argentina Cab. Thus a good cellar candidate for new world cab fans. SUGGESTION: Decant for no less than 1.5 hrs before drinking or cellar til …

Hazy notes from a few days ago. This wine was popped and poured, not a great idea. Quite concentrated, and there's a lot fruit packed into this wine, and oak notes are evident. Promising, but really young and tight right now. It's a litle too modern for my tastes right now, but it does have some potential. Wait at least three years (B+ now). Good QPR.
