Nose shows notes of white flowers, white peach, pineapple, and a touch of buttery creaminess, although not particularly aromatic overall. A little bit of heat comes through on the nose largely because the bouquet is so restrained. Citrus carries through onto the palate, although it also feels a little hot and flabby. We had the pleasure of tasting this wine up at Cadaretta's glass tasting room while on a trip to Walla Walla recently. Great little chardonnay for the price. The grapes are Washington grown, but Buried Cane is produced by Middleton Family Wines who is from the Paso Robles area (if memory serves). I agree with the prior tasting note. Nice tropical flavors with some toasty vanilla overtones. Not overly complex or overly oaked, but well balanced for a lower-priced chard. …

Dark straw color. Peaches and papayas on the nose, some white flowers and honeyed tea, a sweeter, perfumed aspect. Medium-low acid. Chunky pineapple fruit on the palate (papaya, pineapple and mango), with notes of honey, white tea, nougat… sweet white flowers and honeysuckle. Tasty, attractive, fun, not ultimately deep or complex but very good stuff for the price. Aged six months in 20% new French oak, includes 11% Semillon.

Light yellow color; aromatic, ripe pear, pear gelee nose; tasty, creamy textured, juicy, ripe pear, pear gelee palate with good balancing acidity; medium-plus finish (13.9% alcohol; good buy at about $14)
