Double decanted before taking to a local restaurant, Matt’s Red Rooster Grille, in Flemington NJ. It is a dark ruby crimson color. Most has herbs, licorice and dark red fruit notes. Dense but bright texture. Fruit is black cherry and pomegranate perhaps just a little “stewed”. Seems to need aeration as it improved in the glass poured when we first sat town but enjoyed with the entrè. Moderately long finish. Nice with a pork chop dish. P.S. this was better …

More intensity on the nose than palate with a medium finish. Some nice cooked fruit notes but runs out of energy.

Opening: a little green and herbal. After 2 hrs: blueberry mead. After 4 hrs: Spice and cherries. After 6 hrs: bitterness and a little alcoholic.

Very juicy and fresh, heavy on the acidity currently but it’s still very young. Undeniably delicious fruit, in a way reminds me of something from the cote de beaune.

Impressive color/extract- more purple-highlighted and practically opaque. Violets, even lilac with black raspberry pips/chambord liqueur with deep midpalate fat that doesn't show too much length or focus yet. Dense but with supple tannins. Needs a bit of time yet. Good potential.
