Domaine Saint-Amant Côtes du Rhône Villages La Tabardonne

Bit different and good. Raisin like taste but without the sweetness. Drank with mildly spicey food (pad Thai) and stood up fine.

Pale green colour, then pronounced flavours of clementine, apricot, hazelnut, honeysuckle and rose. The oak really develops on the long finish but I think it balanced the equally strident initial flavours and a fresh acidity. The texture is lovely too - full and slightly creamy. Excellent for the price.
