Very approachable. Red berries, red plums, hints of vanilla and spices which lead to moderately long finish. Might have scored higher but it was up against a Realm and an SQN. 92+

Bright red fruit and potpourri come together in this elegant Paso Robles Grenache based wine. Soft tannins and soft nose are just a couple highlights of this wine. Good juice.

Elegant and refined on entry. Wonderful mouthfeel. Ripe, sweetened strawberries, cinnamon, red licorice, mild blueberry, faint white pepper. Wonderful long finish for a Grenache dominant wine.

Opened in the bottle a few hours but got spanked by a 2019 Sanctus Sanctorum. Light and translucent ruby color. Sweet cherry syrup, lavender, vanilla, incense and Asian spice. All Grenache now and not picking up much from the 20% Syrah.

Red fruit, potpourri, garrigue and a touch of white pepper comes together in this silky smooth iteration of a Paso Robles Grenache. Medium to full bodied. The tannins are well integrated. I love the bright red fruit you pick up on the nose. Good juice.

Hit its stride after slow-oxing 6 hrs. On the nose - Pomegranate, dark cherry, flowers for days… Palate - beautiful balance, finesse. Fresh with good acidity and intense grip brining home a lengthy finish. Paso Grenache (with a bit of Syrah) at its best. Wish I had more to see if this could go higher in a year or two.

Red fruit, potpourri, underbrush and a touch of white pepper come together nicely in this well balanced Grenache based wine. So silky smooth and the palate. It comes across as medium in weight, but everything is in the right place. The nose is equally as impressive. This wine is in a great drinking window today and I don’t think it will get any better. Good juice.

Big and fruity red. Sweet strawberry and dark tart cherry on the nose. Was some alcoholic in the beginning. After couple of hours of decant the cigar box notes start showing up and peppery sensation start dominate the palate. Still got big life ahead of it assuming 94+ in the next 5 years.

I won't rate this. Its to jammy and fruity for me. No refinement here. I love Law and have many of their wines. This one is just not for me. Big giant monster fruit bomb. If that's what you like then this is it. Granted this is after drinking 30yr left banks for the past few nights. Ill pass. Updating: So I left this in my cellar open for 2 days. Came back to a very nice smooth full body …

Opened and decanted 2+hours. Tasted a small glass: tart, tannic and tightly would up. Poured back into the bottle and started consuming the next day. Dark plum and dark cherry notes. Still tannic but softer and more accessible now. On the palate: lush dark fruit that starts out heavy and ends up lightweight in body; still showing some raggedness; ends with a dusty and semi dry tannic finish. I would say that this has years to go, but there is …

Color medium intensity ruby; clean nose with moderate intensity and developing characteristic. Aromas of cherry, dark cherry, violet and herbs and white pepper. Body was medium with alcohol at 15.1 was just igh and medium plus tannins. Currently this is a very good wine quality but in a year as elements integrate it should become outstanding. The wine looks ruby colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle.

We didn’t love it. Found the taste a bit harsh and not open like a Grenache/Syrah combo. Not at all fruity as we had expected.

Bright fruit between red and dark, ripe cherry , some forest floor and wild flowers, sage on the nose. Acidity is well there . Wine is set to age for some years. Aromatics are wonderful. Lucky to have couple of bottles.

We were patient with this wine--the winemaker had recommended a 4-6 hour decant before we did a virtual tasting with him and we were rewarded. A beautiful, soft Grenache blend that was thoroughly enjoyable. We paired it with sauteed salmon and mushroom risotto. Drink up!

Strawberry-cherry Grenache core, intensified with Syrah spice and structure. Tannins, acidity, and oak, with drying, black cherry cigar-box. Cherry-bold and delicious now, worth a hold.

Decanted for a couple of hours then consumed over two evenings. Day two was more revealing as this bottle, as expected, is still in development. It does display roundness, a strong sense of balance and a sustained delivery. My immediate impression is that I find the 16% Syrah adds more testosterone to a lovely Grenache than I would prefer.

96% Grenache/4% Syrah. Tart red/black cherry, plum, and strawberry fruit up front. Has a subtle richness to it on the mid-palate with notes of crushed rock, caramel, earth, and spice. Still has some nice acidity to it with a nice long finish. Great balance right now and all around good wine.

Drinking really nicely right now. Much more body than you would expect for a Grenache. Tastes more like an old vines Spanish Garnache. I, personally, really like this wine. Not a great bargain at $65, but a very good showing.

WIML91 Tasted non blind. Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose is a bit alcoholic with firm notes of Kirsch up front followed by pepper and jam. Flavors of black currants and dried plums. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink over the short to medium term with a little air time to open it up and blow off that nose a bit.

Full body granache with a little Syrah to boost the finish. Entry and mid palate were enjoyable and the Syrah saves the finish. Tasted better at the winery. Can't tell what lies ahead. We will see.

2014 Rhone Rangers Grand Tasting : Ruby-violet color with raspberry, strawberry, spice and a hint of floral aromas. On the palate, its between light and medium-bodied, and balanced wth surprising acidity and raspberry, strawberry, spice and mineral flavors. Lengthy finish. 94% Grenache, 6% Syrah

Decanted 8 hours prior to tasting. Hopefully this wine just needs more time in the bottle. The fruit seemed to be attempting to muscle its way through an imposing structure with little success. I have tasted some rather heady stuff from this wine maker so I am trying to be optimistic. At this point, neither the name nor the price is accurately descriptive.
