Pierre Chanau Riesling

4/5 A LITTLE TAMED AND SMOOTHER DUE TO AGE, BUT STILL STRONG AND BLASTING FLAVORS The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like grapefruit, lemon, raisin, apricot, peach, pear, black pepper, apple blossom, almond and butterscotch. It tastes like lemon, grapefruit, raisin, apple, peach, pineapple and black pepper. The body is full. The wine has coarse texture. The wine has medium acidity.

AGED FOR TOO LONG, LOST FLAVOR, NOT EXCITING. ALSO USED TO COOK A COQ AU RIESKING, GOOD FOR COOKING

Dry with a hint of sugar. Lime and minerals dominate the nose and palate. No hint of petrol or kerosine. Shortish length. Hit the spot for something simple and decent to add to and drink with Nigella Lawson's Coq a Riesling. Food wise, much better compared to when an Australian Riesling was used.
