Tasted blind and the nose is performing and elegant with notes of cooked black cherry, ripe black currant, spices, toast. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Tannin is integrated. Finish is long.

Fully mature, the wine is packed with truffles, dark chocolate, red plums, cherries, earth and leafy herbs. Medium-bodied, with a crisp edge to the tannins that I wish was just a bit more fleshy and silky. This is not a wine to hold for more development.

Best wine I’ve ever had, and first 100 point score I’ve rated. I agree with earlier comments about the burgundy mouthfeel. Enjoyed this bottle along with some of the most iconic wines produced (Krug, salon, screagle, petrus, leroy, harlan, DRC echezeaux & RSV, Sine qua non, all five 1st growths, Etc) and the le pin was head and shoulders above the rest. What a fantastic wine.

Good wine with some Burgundian characteristics. However appealing herb notes are distracted by lychee.

This is a beautiful, mature Le Pin sporting wonderful Pomerol lushness in a classy, elegant package. Really silky on the palate with fabulous but understated plum and cherry fruit flavors which lead to an incredibly complex finish with notes of coconut, citrus and Eastern spices. Le Pin is all Pomerol and whatever you want to say about it when it's young, age has produced a very terroir-driven wine here that is utterly beguiling in it's softness, complexity and authenticity. Le Pin is about delicacy and aromatics, instead of power. The wine posses layers of kinky dark cherry, plums, coconut, orange, flower and vanilla that makes it truly unique. The decadent wine feels great in your mouth.

Served this blind. Smooth and rich with a ripe nose, this wine appealed to everyone. There was a hint of eucalyptus on the nose that I had never noticed before.
