Domaine Sérol Côte Roannaise Cuvée Troisgros

Decent value. unmistakably gamay but with a bit of beef/structure and warmth. Fairly smooth although lacking length. A pleasant quaff, with or without (mild) food.

This is a year in tank (tank?) where as some of the others are released much earlier. So hence the split up of the cuvees. To my nose the Blondins has more depth and power, but maybe that is not the point here? Millerands is very small grape and no grape in inside, so not as much hard tannin so a reference to the beautiful plant selection they have here (I am being told).

No better than pleasant.
