Dulcinea Santos Ferreira Baga Bairrada Sidónio de Sousa Vinho d'Autor

Excelente rotulo de pequeno produtor, degustado na Bairrada. Fruta muito viva, sem dar indicativos da idade que o vinho ja tem.

3 hour decant. 13%. Só Baga. Bottle 1926 of3942. A bottle with no attached label - there's something you don't, thankfully, see very often. Deep purple - classic Baga in nose and mouth - there's a lightness without triviality here - round forest fruits - nice, but not aggressive, grip - pretty decent finish - nice wine at this price.

(In between reserve and garrafeira) A bit basic compared even compared to reserve. Soft plum on the nose with earth and chypre. A bit of grip and bite, but with soft gums. Juicy fruits and patchhouli. Seemed a bit out of tune over all and maybe just a function of youth. Good, but over shined by rest of the wines here.
