Karuizawa, Single Malt Single Cask 6568 31YO Bottled 2011

Glorious liquid. Sui generis as far as my experience with brown liquids go. An incredible nose of peaty salinity and burnt seaweed -- a bonfire at a beach, perhaps. Complex, richly textured, and drank neat, doesn't show a hint of the 120 proof at all -- I've had commercial whiskeys that taste far more angular. Silky smooth.
