Austrian Riesling, 13%Abv, 4 g/L. Aromas of butter, flint, honey, chamomile, hay, and a hint of petroleum. A lovely fresh wine perfect for summer and food pairing, particularly with spicy pad Thai. It offers flavours of lemon, butter, honey, stone fruit, white pepper and elderflower. High acidity with medium minus finish.

Consistent with prior note. Big body, nearly oily consistence. Classic Wachau style, excellent.

This is striking off dry Riesling that delivers amazing balance, purity of fruit, classic minerality, citrus & light stone fruit while demanding reflection & appreciation for its harmony and complexity. Love its minerality and long finish. Excellent Riesling and a terrific change of pace from my first love, French Chardonay. One more btl. Wishing it was 2 or 3 more! 13% alc.

A matter of taste - Day 1 : *** Brief notes from wine fair, primarily for my own memory *** Glass: Stölzle Universal Lacks a bit acidity, but is otherwise really beautiful and deep. Very fresh, lots of crushed stones, beautiful stone fruit, good length. Good potential. 92-93+

Very impressive. Apple, pear and lemon notes, very mineral, elegant and very long. Not far away from F.X.Pichler‘s Kellerberg, but significantly cheaper (22 Euro offer). Still young, 93+, clear rebuy!

10cl sample bottle. N: med(+), slightly peachy aromas, bit of struck match aromas. Wax, lemon P: Full for Riesling, but far better balance than the Gruners. Some crystalline feel running through, ripe pear. But feels stunted. and finishes short.

Light yellow color. Aromas of lime, spring flowers, and unripe peach. Palate has lemon floral character with some stony saline notes that emerge on a medium-short finish. Like the recent 2011 and 2015 sampled, this seems to be "Smaragd-lite" perhaps due to the dry nature of the vinification. Enjoyable, and not really showing a lot of vintage difference between the three examples, which suggests aging should be no problem for a very long time but also that bottle development may …
