lifted, savoury ashy and lifted perfume, wood spices, lingonberry funk, orange peel. Takes some time to open, revealing well resolved silky tannins, ashy earth, a bloom of dark floral perfume and aged leather. Supple, silky and textural, quite enjoyable. Beautifully developed, satisfying. Dried florals, loamy with ashy bitter on the long finish. Exquisite, pairing perfectly with 7 year cheddar; day 2 with buttermilk chicken. My last bottle, after a decade.

Amazing how little has changed. Less plums but still a powerful Pinot with the same spicy flavours. Excellent balance.

恰到好处的果味,微微矿物的口感,一款有欲望也有克制的酒。虽然品质谈不上多么惊世骇俗,但这种定位清楚、处理精湛到位的酒在任何时候都会让人喜欢。

Very classy and getting better. Slow legs, inviting boque followed by a full palatte of spicy red fruits mixed with ripe plums. Most enjoyable.

Earthy. Short finishing. Develops over the one to two hours that we drank. Very dry.

Screw-cap. Pop and poured. Drank over 3 hours. Appearance is clear, pale ruby colour with slightly garnet rim. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of earth, minerality, sweet baking spices, dark red cherry, strawberry. Developed. On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium- tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of earth, minerality, sweet baking spices, dark red cherries, strawberries. Medium+ finish. Good quality. Really quite Burgandian. More Village than Premier Cru though, as intensity could …

Decanted for an hour or so and definitely benefitted from the air. The nose has touches of burnt earth and some evolved cherry fruit. The palate has the merest touch of tannin on the tip of the tongue, plenty of acidity, earth and dark cherries. The finish is pleasantly long and quite fresh. It seems to be in mid maturity, I'm not sure whether the fruit will outlast the wood and toast now, I'll leave my last bottle for another …

Served at cellar temp, decanter not available. Drank over 2 hrs. Medium ruby & showing slight signs of age. Tears & alcohol appears high upon opening, falling away to an offering of high intensity. Ripe stewed red fruits, particularly strawberries & nuances of white pepper & cinnamon. Wine showing no fruit sweetness, and improving greatly with time in the glass. Medium bodied on the palate, with presence of fine oak tannins, lively acidity. Medium to long finish with potential to …

- Crimsom color and aromas of violet and cedar. It's in total harmony and has flavours of oak with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - My favourite Aussie Pinot of the year that behaved like a Burgundy.

Nose of black cherry, blueberry and spicy oak. Smooth palate, with a good balance of refreshing acid and strong tannin. Black cherry, blueberry, lemon, anise, black pepper and cinnamon bark. Over time, the black flavours recede and the blueberry flavour develops. I only had a glass of this; needs further study.

(Anzac Day Brunner) light ruby in glass, showing elegant perfume of dark florals (rose, violets) with characteristic mornington raspberries, leather and barnyard pong. Some citrus (mandarin peel) shows with time in glass. Good concentration of dark berries and black cherries, structured with youthful tanins on the green/stemmy side. Some licorice and herb pastilles show later (garrigue), ending nicely on an earthy, loamy finish, along with some characteristic mint/eucalypt notes.

Having read many top reviews about the 2010 yabby lakes I had high hopes. Good crimson colour, nose that was ripe and primary, maybe tending to overripe. Tasting again whilst delicious I just noticed a bit of heat that I didn't enjoy.

Tasted among many of the flagship pinots from Australia and New Zealand. The New Zealand wines tended to be fuller-bodied, heavier and darker fruit than the Australian examples. This one was one of the driest and most savoury pinot on show. It had one of the longest finishes of the light Aussie wines. Not my cup of tea, but certainly technically superior. 92+

Premium Pinot Noir Releases (Prince Wine Store - Bank Street) : The benchmark Mornington Peninsula $60 Pinot Noir has raised the bar again. The nose starts out with a vanillin perfume that supports the dark cherry beautifully. There is also some asian spice. The palette is full of super-textural tannins which provide a fantastic grippy mouthfeel and which gently give way to the soft, spicy finish.

Not a huge amount from the nose, some dark cherries and dark plums and a little earth, nice and fresh in the mouth, more dark fruits, a good long savoury finish, earth and even some hazelnuts, a little fine tannin too. While not being super complex, this is a reliable favourite new world Pinot

Colour: Ruby, bright, medium intensity Nose: Medium minus intensity, developing, clean. Cherry, biscuity oak...the fruit is slightly overripe Mouth: medium plus acid, body. medium tannin that is all on the front of the mouth and rough and grippy. medium flavour intensity with flavours of slight cherry fruit. dry. Alcohol carries on the finish. Nice, but simple and a bit warm.
