Delicious wine, even though slightly high toned for my preference. I don’t love the vanilla note, but it is not too prominent.

The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry, strawberry, vanilla, black pepper and stoniness. Super smooth. Light on the palette but strengthened as continued to drink. Pinot is a staple in our house and everyone we had over the party loved it. Great Pinot Noir. Great wine.

Darioush Wine Dinner (TCC) : Very very fruity on it's own and more of the riper style of fruit. Here again the pairing really helped the wine. Before the veal I got a hint of flab on the end of this wine. With the veal that flab felt more like a bit of heft that stood up to the meat and suddenly I was tasting more spice cabinet in addition to the fruit. There's a precision that the very best …

Good I’d rather standard California Pinot. Dark enough that I suspect some non-Pinot juice was added for color. Profile is a bit candied as one expects from Russian Rover. Has it with a St. Innocent (Willamette Valley Pinot) and it seemed shallow and obvious next to the more profound, nuanced, savory, and funky St. I.

Had w/Thanksgiving dinner; Didn't take detailed notes while drinking it. Nice California pinot noir which is to say darker in color and more concentrated than Oregon or Burg from same price point, but not overwrought or jammy...Kept things in balance and overall presentation we elegant, just in that more fruit-forward Cali style. Popular around the table.

Deeper garnet, approaching purple in color; very dark for a pinot. Fruit notes are of dried cherries. Very little of the Russian River cherry cola/ forest floor, bright cherry that I expected. Seems to be a very ripe pinot, had to recheck the bottle to make sure that I hadn't mistakenly grabbed a Darioush shiraz. Opulent, ripe and rich, pleasant enough, but not what I expected from a pinot.

Rich and fruit forward. Strawberry and spice come through on the medium to full body. Long lingering finish.
