An evening with Nebbiolo. This one was outstanding because of its perfume, lightness and accesebility even though it is still very young. Very present tannins but not discomforting. Has strength but it is tamed by fruit and a harmonious structure. Has a lot of time ahead but is a delight already. I´ll go looking for more.

{visit to Pelissero} After 20 minutes in the glass, this is totally ready. Ripe, giving, modernly-styled nose of creamy red and black fruits. The type of wine I'd get a newcomer to Barbaresco wines to try, a softball pitch if you will. Sappy, but lifted well enough; some chocolate, but nothing OTT. 14,0% abv. tonight this wine shows the pretty nebbiolo ruby glow, quite shy on the nose at this stage with rose petals and cherries revealing themselves after some time, dry, mouth coating tannin and acid, attractive characteristics are starting to show, the theme seems to be strawberry, fresh herbs, plums and cherry pits, an underlying brightness exists, made in more of a traditional style- have with food

Needs a few hours to open. Cherries and vanilla in the not too mature nose. Extremely strong and dry tannins, lots of acid. Amarena and sour cherry skin on the palate with notes of coffee. Lacks balance but is bound to improve over the next years. Hard to rate since it is not really ready yet.
