A bit stiff and unyielding. Not much going on here of interest. I'm wondering why I bought it - it was surely better at the winery. Maybe it just needs a lot of decanting. Strangely, the '08 of the same wine was stunning. Weird.

Again, even value Merlots can do better. It's fine, nothing affirmatively wrong with it besides an apparent imbalance, but would only get this if there were no other choices, and there usually are.

This was your typical barefoot wine. It was pleasant and easy drinking, the minerality on the finish was a nice suprise though. It makes a nice value wine, if you don't have a good wine shop near by to help guide you through the waters of other "value priced" wines.
