Pardas, Pur Xarel-lo, Penedes

Tasted blind, guessed Anjou Chenin. Medium intensity aromas of fresh green apple, quince, lemon peel, subtle grassy herbal notes, wet stone minerality, and faint floral hints. On the palate, the wine displays high, bright acidity, medium body, moderate alcohol (12.5%), and a distinctive waxy texture. Some French oak here present, but the fruit is what shines the most. Very good quality wine, but slightly overpriced in my view. Doesn't have enough depth and concentration to be close to 40 EUR.
