Still a good mouthful of Bordeaux. No sign of tiring at 6 years old. Probably one of the better vintages for Barreyres. Good VFM.

Ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. Fruity nose with black plums, black cherries, tobacco, oak, licorice, chocolates and spices. Nice nose. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, spices, black pepper, oak and licorice. Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries. A little unbalanced, but easy drinking and better with food. A little hot at the back of the throat. Fruity and easy drinking with mild complexity. 13% alcohol by volume. 87 …

In a good place, lively acidity, light tannin, and mulberry and cedar flavours. ***.

Not very weighty, may fill out a little over the next year, but very pleasant with a hint of cedar.

2019 vintage. Visual: Dark red verging on inky. Nose: Blackberry, cassis, alcohol. Palette: Closed initially. Tannic, med acidity. After 4 hours of air it showed much better, it became rounder and smoother with blackberry, pencil shavings, mild tobacco notes. It's a very good, well balanced wine for a cheap price £10-12. Sadly this is sold way too young on release. Try drinking again from 2025.

Flowers, espresso and chocolate dusted kirsch notes pop with ease on the nose. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, soft, sweet and fresh with sweet notes of silky-textured cherries, earth and spice on the backend. You can enjoy this well-priced gem on release. Drink from 2022-2029.

Solider 10-Euro-Medoc, würzig, trinkig, ohne Tiefgang. Gut zu rotem Fleisch oder Ente aber sicher auch zu Bratwurst oder Merguez.
