Drinking great. Had it with a steak. Bold complex incredible wine. Can't believe the value. Wish I had more

I agree the aging has improved the wine, it seems quite a bargain at this point. While the overall flavor has diminished as might be expected after 16 years the fruit is still present and the tannins reduced to provide a nice balance. It is great to be able to share such elegance with friends without regrets about the quality at such a reasonable acquisition price. I give it a 90 at this point with some time remaining before the …

2nd bottle was just as good. Should have bought more Dark ruby colored with earth, forest floor, and a baking spices on the nose. Taste is moderate body with well balanced acid and tannins, both still there but well integrated. Long finish

Still drinking great. Ruby colored with just a hint of brick. Nose is full and rich with plums and raspberries. Taste has full texture and moderate tannins with pepper on the long with echoes of the plums. Really nice. Picked up for a song at a remainder sale.

This wine has finally come around after 15 years. Took a while. No more funky barnyard floor musty profile. Lots of fruit, full-body, mid-palate acidity, a bit of earth in the background with a nice long finish, and dark chocolate notes. Give it a 30 min plus decant. This is my 10th bottle from a case, drinking over the years and this is the best.

This bottle needed an hour plus to get rid of the funk. Once that was gone, it is similar to my drinking note from last year. Interesting that the funk just hangs in this wine. Rate 86 with funk but an 89 otherwise. Giving it 88 for general drinking. To enjoy it, open it up and aerate heavily for a few hours.

This was much better than my previous bottle. Earthy funk is mild now. Wine is rich and still has plenty of life left. Mid level acidity and soft tannin on the finish. 13 + years to get to this point. Slightly better on day 2. 89-90 rating.

Medium body after 10 + years. Still had some funk at the beginning that dissipates after 30+ minutes. That is still distracting to those who are not familiar with the terroir aspect. Mixed red and black fruits and still has some acidity left. Ok with food, but overall a disappointment based on initial expectations but ok drinker once the funk is gone.

Big berry bomb with a lot of spice and licorice and a bit of vinyl on the finish.

This has improved with a couple more years in the cellar. No sign it was near the end of its life though. Mellow but rich, still a lot of fruit, a touch of chocolate at the end.

I disagree with previous notes. I thought this was best about 1/2 HR after pop 'n pour. It was juicy, with a chocolate lushness. The longer it was open the more the brett took over and by day 3 it was I drinkable, where as a similarly priced WA Cab I opened at the same time as this was at its best between day 2-3. If you have these, pop them and drink up.

Similar notes to prior bottles but still a bit too much funk on the finish on day one but quite decent on day 2.

This bottle was much better than previous. There is still too much brett, but there is a core of solid dark fruits underneath that make the wine enjoyable. If the brett were gone, this would be a much better wine!

Wine has improved overall. It is now full bodied, dark fruits and a bit of dark chocolate as well. Still has some vegetal and earthy funk in the background and a spicy finish. More balanced than a couple of years ago and good with food. Would recommend decanting for 30 minutes before drinking.

Young and tight and appealing on opening, after about a half hour tightness was gone, the brett was still noticeable on the nose (which is fine by me); flattened out in the glass, became completely enjoyable and unspectacular; guessing that it's supposedly an impressive WA winery that charges a bundle for this wine, hoping that isn't true...

Not overly complex but very enjoyable. This wine worked with grilled steak and farro with porcini and marscapone.

Served on the cooler side, ypung, not showing any age, Maybe a tinge of green on the blackcherry, currant nose. Juicy, nice cherry and currant fruit, mild tannins, good acidity. Delicious, easy drinking cab. Not very structured, would think this should be drunk sooner than later. This was tasty but going to consume other bottles soonish - and not for special occasions. Plenty decent for the price though.

Not especially good, to my palate. Too much barnyard, which got stronger with air and combined with the fruit gave it a Sucrets-like flavor. Otherwise very typical for an inexpensive Washington State cab.

Typical Washington Cab. not for the California Cab. drinker. Lots of fruit (raspberries, black raspberries and red fruits) in general, low tannins/acid. Good wine for the price, but don't wait, enjoy now.
