The best Zin we have had in years. Rich, plummy, jammy, juicy with that touch of Zin spice and a little of the Amador bramble taste. Despite the 14.8% alcohol, this is not an Amador "alcohol bomb", everything is well-integrated and balances with a touch of tannin left. This is five years old now and drinking perfectly. Do not see this improving with further age, it is at its zenith, "drink now" status.

Took a while to open up - recommend letting it breathe. It is rich and jammy, but with a lot of elegance and balance. Lots of Zin spice, too. It had an incredibly long finish, over 30 seconds. Believe it will get better this year and next, at a minimum. This is actually a single vineyard wine, but they did not get permission to label it as such until 2012. At $26, this was a treat.
