Nose: dried apricot, honey, beeswax, candied ginger; very expressive Palate: apricot, baking spices, honey; finish of green apple jolly rancher, Meyer lemon, baking spices; med - body, smooth; beautiful structure; high - acid, very well integrated Overall: smells like sunshine in a glass; tastes like an apricot pie. Absolutely delicious, what a treat.

Method: pop and pour; fridge temp; white wine glass Look: medium gold (a bit lighter than anticipated) Nose: dried apricot, honey, beeswax, whipped cream, candied ginger Palate: apricot pie filling, baking spice, medium to medium+ finish ginger; lemon, honey, light baking spice, hint of mineral, faint hint of something tertiary I can't place; medium sweetness; medium body; high- acidity Overall thoughts: Lighter on its feet and less botrytis than expected (I think 2019 Schloss Lieser Spatlesen, for example, are bigger …

2nd of 6 halves of this auction auslese, as first in Dec 21 and ludicrously fine, outstanding tension, TBA intensity and persistence, thought provoking wine, years of interesting development ahead! VFI (19.5).

1st of 6 halves (AUKTION AUSLESE), pnp then drunk over 2 nights, perfect cork and level - mid yellow, extremely unctuous; full panoply of honeyed tropical fruit, hint of raisin, citrus notes, amazingly fresh and pure; light/medium, staggeringly long, persistent and concentrated (mouth coating), very complex, how TH achieved the tension and balance in such a rich wine is a marvel, years of life ahead though nigh on perfect now. VFI (19.5).......flavours held in mouth for good 10 minutes!
