Fading but still lovely and so interesting. Ginger and spice and honey comb and beeswax. Nice long finish. Coravin pour at Bones

Moderately sweet, lovely varietal nose. Good rather than excellent and I think it is losing steam.

Clear light lemon yellow color.. Nose of botrytis, ginger, pear with a hints of nuttiness and spice. Off dry sweetness with good acid to balance. Very nice finish.

Clear light lemon yellow color.. Nose of botrytis, ginger, pear with a hints of nuttiness and spice. Off dry sweetness with good acid to balance. Very nice finish. Paired rather well with Thai currie. Excellent wine value considering the Grand Cru AOC rated vineyard in the hands of a top Alsace producer.

Really a pleasant change of pace after a winter's worth of red wines. Pale color, and one of the more complex wines on the palate in recent memory with lychee, ginger, peaches, brown sugar, honey, allspice, and tangeine peel that gave an almost tannic texture. This softened with 3 hours of air.

EWG does Gewurztraminer with Chinese food (Yujean Kang's, Pasadena, CA) : Big and juicy yet nicely balance. Lots of spice and ginger. In contrast to a month ago I preferred the Furstentum on this night though both are very good but in need of cellar time.

Alsatian Wines with Vietnamese Food (S Restaurant, Westminster, CA) : Tart gingery nose. Juicy feel now with sweet fruit but little if any residual sugar. Dry finish. Good purity here and a balanced Gewurz expression but uneven in a young way. A very nice wine that will be better with time in the cellar.

King Fung II. Quite lovely with good richness and intensity. Lychees and yellow fruits. Good acidity for nice balance. Drinking well now, likely for couple more years at least.

At the winery. Lovely varietal nose, great depth. R.S. 37 but after a sweet nose and apparently sweet initial attack the very good acidity makes it taste dry.
