Agree with oenanth two years on. Fresh, clean, crisp and bright, I’m not getting any reduction or ‘funk’. Gets a little richer with air. Lemony and stony. Not as good or full as the ‘18 or ‘19 IMO (tasted in Puligny-Montrachet and sensational) which makes me wonder if the source / age of the raw material has changed. Was good VFM a few years ago, but prices have been creeping up in common with most white Côte d’Or wines. Better …

Entry level Bourgogne (Must & Lees, Warren Street) : Quite grassy, leesy, a little reductive. White pepper and floral tones to accompany some tangy lemon, a nice mix. Crisp and pleasant.

Basic Bourgogne (TWS), 23 November (Must and Lees, Warren Street) : Distinctly funky on the nose here, with burnt butter notes and some spice - potentially cumin? More pleasant on the palate with chewy complexity, smokiness, saltiness and a slightly reductive character.

Reasonably priced Burgundy (Must & Lees, Warren Street) : Oaky nose that really emerges with air. Stony complexity: lemon, lifted blossom that's enveloped in a subtly toasted structure with elements of funk and a reductive note. Good body and weight, brightening acidity carries a finish that's a touch abrupt. Not all that subtle but I liked it.
