I just waited too long on this one. While the 101 Vineyard is usually one of my favorite Turley wines, this one was a bit unstructured 12 years in. So there was still fruit, deep plum and berry, but not enough acid or tannins at this point.

- Brick color with slow forming legs. It's balanced with a medium/full body. Juicy texture with a long finish.

I thought it showed well if not a slight bit flat. Wine was tasty but lacked the spice or structure Of a Zin, particularly a Turley. The wine was fruity and rich, but no tannin or backbone. We washed it down quick enough, but the lacking in Zin like characteristics was both confusing and concerning.

Softer, more translucent construction. Tasted blind would not say Turley. Fresh cherry, cranberry. Smooth midpalate but a bit tart on the finish. A good food wine.

Yum. Surprisingly delicious and well-proportioned. Nothing is out of whack, not the alcohol nor the oak nor anything else. Cherries, cranberries and Zinberries, with a dash of pepper and a sprinkling of clove, and initially a hint of pine/evergreen, with plenty of vibrant acidity keeping it fresh and interesting. Still a bit of tannin in the finish. Perhaps time in the bottle has mellowed this out and made it balanced (I don't recall trying this as a younger wine), but …

15.2% ABV. Peppery nose with a touch of clove spice. Red fruit palate. Little bit tart. This was the last wine of the evening, and my palate was pretty shot, but this didn't hold a candle to the Carlisle preceding it.

Fabulous. Nose of strawberries and sweet cherries, followed by a layered palate of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, and baking spice. Juicy and delicious.

Nose of cherry and cranberry. A lot of fruit but seems a bit disjointed, showing just a littl ebit of heat on the end.

Failry light in color and in flavor profile. Good acidity and a touch of spiciness but an overal disappointment, along with most of the 2005 Turley line-up.
