A lot of people are going to score this much lower - apart from the residual fizz that needed to be shaken out, the wine was an interesting/somewhat unusual mix of smoke, savory and light/medium red cherry berry fruit. We didn't find this to be as tart as an earlier reviewer described and the smoke and savory were much more pronounced. Perhaps the result of additional ageing? Georgian dinner with lots of garlic and full-flavored foods and sauces. This is a light and tart red wine with interesting aromatics, but is a bit too austere. I like many Jura reds, but this wine lacked the savory character of those wines. Definitely needs food.
