This 2019 has none of the over ripeness of the vintage. It is mostly savory but with plenty of fruit. It kept opening with air but the fruit never overshadowed the earthy nuances. A match made in heaven with roast roast chicken with mushrooms and mashed potatoes.

(CdV) Un bon petit pinot, de la gourmandise certes, dans un registre assez structuré, du soleil (fruits noirs), sans pourtant manquer d’acidité. On peut rien lui reprocher, si ce n’est un petit manque de caractère, de magie… (attendons nous trop des Galeyrand? Possible) C’est pas la claque pris avec le longeroies de Pataille de la même année !!

Clean and balanced wine - red fruits, pear, grass. Nicely integrated tannins, just the right amount of acidity. Slight funk on the nose. Well done

This clear wine has a very focused and red fruited airy nose, followed by surprisingly lifted red fruited flavors, ending in a very persistent explosive red fruited finish. If this is not uber deep, the finish is very long, a beautiful chalky and bright finish which energy is truly amazing. This is a brilliant Marsannay, bravo Jerome !
