Deep purple in color, this wine (a blend of Syrah/Zinfandel/Petite Sirah/Grenache Noir) reveals brambly, earthy, jammy dark fruits on the nose. The mouth feel is full bodied but very approachable. The finish is a little hot with the 14.5% abv clearly evident. Purchased for $13US, this is a pleasant everyday sipper that needs food to tame the heat from the alcohol.
