Tement Morillon Erste Lage STK Rossberg

very dry, Riesling like fruit, excellent structure, long finish

Drunk over two nights. My first Tement wine. Citrus pith, lemon, chalky nd subtle florals on the nose. It's a stony more than fruit and floral wine. Mid weighted, filigree fine, with a texture like Saar riesling. It's elegant and soft spoken, yet with intensity. On the plate it has a refreshing, stony, clean feel like drinking mineral water. This is quite good and beautifully balanced with mouthwatering freshness and clarity. I'm impressed.

Lemon, apple peel, a saline coolness to the smell which is difficult to place. Lovely zesty fruit in the mouth, concentrated without being too rich and perhaps a touch of lees. Medium bodied, medium to high acid. Fresh without being crisp. An excellent wine, representative of the what the Südsteiermark has to offer in comparison to other regions where Chardonnay succeeds.

reductive and muted, but 30 min later, chiseled, mineral and poised, so chablis like in terms of aromatics and acid, but with a step up in body, that perfectly matches the acid. not unfocused in any way, but certainly not cote d'or white burgundy either.

This is impressive. I poured this into a Conterno Sensory and it just exploded on the nose. Scents of poached pear, golden delicious, and hay/straw. The palate is rich & layered with flavors of lemon, pineapple, & quince with a hint of nutmeg & spice. This is a lovely bottle of wine, and I think what I like the most...is that it is clearly not Burgundy...but it is clearly Chardonnay. I'm so pleased to have a few more bottles of …

Melon, lemon, cool wet stone. Medium bodied and perfect balance, a touch of spiky acid and salty mineral, no fat but great concentration. Long and fresh, really excellent.

Südsteiermark, Slovenia and Collio (Friuli Venezia Giulia); 9/7/2019-9/20/2019 (Südsteiermark, Slovenia and Collio (Friuli Venezia Giulia)) : Cool lemon, melon, medium body. Minty and fresh in the mouth. Good length finish. Elegant.
